2005 timetable

1st workshop took place between 20th and 23rd of February 2005 in Warsaw in Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing. Earlier work of the participants was presented there and script ideas were discussed under surveillance of the invited professors and consultants, prominent Polish and Russian documentary film-makers. The participants had also begun their preparations for writing scripts of their documentaries.

Second workshop had taken place in Moscow at Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography in Moscow between 27th and 30th April 2005. During this workshop the participants had presented their scripts which were discussed and modified in order to meet the requirements of the production. Very important parts of the workshops were lectures “Russia as a film subject” and “Poland as a film subject”. Also of meaning was presentation of professors’ work connected with classes on making films abroad. After the lectures and Consultation-hours, the participants started making their films based on final, well-rounded scripts.

Third workshop had taken place between 14th and 16th November 2005 in Warsaw at the Akademia Telewizyjna TVP S.A. The participants have presented rough materials from their projects. Some of them had presented films so developed in editing that they didn’t require any corrections on the artistic level. Other had gained their final character as a result of consultation with experts.

I don’t know how an idea comes into mind. This is something that just comes. From where? It is derived from everything that we have touched thus far in life.
